New York, NY – July 6, 2015 – The GBS Group and Paladin Consulting Group announced today the formation of “TransCap Consulting” based in East Northport, NY. TransCap is a Joint Venture company providing independent oversight, project management, engineering, and risk management services for rail, transit, and mixed modal passenger transport systems.

Co-CEOs Fred Weiderhold, Paladin Consulting Group, and Bob Golden, The GBS Group, and TransCap President Sarah Golden announced the formation of the Joint Venture today. TransCap combines the best of The GBS Group multi-discipline engineering group with Paladin’s rail and transit oversight experts. “The combined companies have teamed to deliver trusted expertise from strategic infrastructure project oversight down to the most discrete details of root cause failure analysis for systems and components” said Bob Golden. Virginia Beach, VA – May 15, 2015 – The GBS Group, an engineering consulting and technical services firm, today announced its expansion and opening of a new office in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The continued growth and growing workforce serving GBS customers in the Canadian Rail industry necessitated the establishment of this newest office location.

The GBS Group has served VIA Rail for over 5 years and the new office will to serve as the center of excellence for software development services, on-train Wi-Fi life-cycle management support, and related services. The new Montreal office will also serve as The GBS Group’s secondary Network Operations Center (NOC), supporting the primary NOC currently operating out of GBS Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. “The Montreal office reinforces our ability to fully support our growing customer needs across all of North America. The GBS Group names new Vice President of Maritime, Controls & Automation

Virginia Beach – April 8, 2015 - The GBS Group, an Application Engineering, Technology Integration and Reliability Engineering Services company, proudly announced today that Mr. Seth Heinrich has been named Vice President of Maritime, Controls & Automation. Seth will join the team at The GBS Group’s headquarters located in Virginia Beach, VA. In his role as Vice President, Seth will be responsible for the business development, contract execution, customer relations for all ship control and maritime related efforts reporting directly to Steven Tibbetts, Chief Operating Officer of The GBS Group.

“Seth brings an extremely high level of experience and expertise from Maersk and Newport News Shipbuilding to our marine engineering and maritime division” said Bob Golden, CEO of the GBS Group. “He is a natural leader and an extremely engaging person we are pleased to have on our team” Golden added.

Seth began his career with Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) now known as Huntington Ingalls Industries spending time in Contracts, Sourcing and Engineering. Seth worked 6 years with NNS and then accepted another position with Maersk Line Limited (MLL) which is owned by AP Moller Maersk. At MLL Seth was a General Manager in the Government Ship Management group responsible for Contracting, Procurement and Logistics for all Operation and Maintenance Contracts MLL had with Military Sealift Command (MSC).

Seth holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Engineering at Michigan State University in Applied Engineering Sciences.
