Gulf Coast Business Development Manager

Jack has over 30 years of experience leading Navy, Joint Service, and commercial operations at various levels of responsibility managing operational and financial aspects of expeditionary warfare, program management, and shipboard mission systems integration. Jack honed his customer facing services and leadership prowess in the most arduous conditions imaginable, including combat tours during Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Jack’s vision and leadership in Afghanistan saved dozens of American lives and reduced expenditures by almost $1 Billion dollars. For this, OPNAV N4 awarded Jack the Admiral Stan Arthur Award as the Navy and Marine Corp’s Logistics Officer of the Year.

A noted analytical person and innovator, Jack lead Navy efforts for Haiti earthquake support at FEMA Region IV, later he led Navy efforts for the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill response for Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Before joining GBS, Jack completed over 30 years of service in the Navy, retiring as a Captain. Commissioned through candidate school in Newport, RI, he held a wide variety of jobs on ships, aviation commands, and expeditionary units. Jack commanded a Cargo Handling Battalion, a DLA Disposition Services unit, DLA Disposition Services Afghanistan, the DLA Disposition Services Joint Reserve Force and Military Sealift Command’s J-4 Reserve Force. Jack is a qualified SC Surface Warfare Officer, and Officer-of-the-Deck and a Junior Engineering Officer of the Watch. Jack is an alumnus of General Dynamics where he successfully managed and executed over $58 Million of contracts for the Expeditionary Fast Transport and Expeditionary Medical Ship Programs.

Jack is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS with a business administration degree and graduated with distinction from the Navy War College in National Security Decision Making. Jack is a member of the Board of Directors for the Mobile Council of the US Navy League and a member of the Propellor Club.
