The GBS Group and Northrup Grumman Sperry Marine sign Navigation Systems Re-Seller Agreement

(Virginia Beach, VA) – The GBS Group, a systems integration, software development and technical services firm has signed an Agreement as Authorized Reseller of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine Radar, Navigation, Steering Control and related products and solutions.

The successful relationship between The GBS Group and Sperry Marine has grown over the past five years as The GBS Group was awarded numerous prime contracts to modernize shipboard Radar & Navigation, Steering Control, Gyrocompass, Electronic Charting / “ECDIS” and related vessel control systems. Most notably, GBS was selected in 2017 by the US Coast Guard to design, integrate and test replacement systems for Vessel Steering Control, Navigation, Alarm and Monitoring for twenty seven (27) USCG cutters across the United States. Sperry Marine products were selected to modernize core system functionality. In addition, the Military Sealift Command and several commercial ship operating companies have selected GBS to modernize multiple vessel control systems including integrated bridge systems, generator and propulsion system controls, deep ocean cable handling machinery controls, IP-based shipboard communication networks and dozens of related systems.
