The GBS Group was awarded two contracts supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Detachment (NSWCPD) Codes 427 and 531.
On 19 September 2019, NSWCPD awarded The GBS Group an $8.13M contract over 5 years to support Code 427 covering engineering, technical, programmatic, logistics, maintenance, installation, and Life Cycle Management, and systems support for NSWCPD Propulsion Systems. The support includes NSWCPD Major Programs office, Program Executive Offices (PEO), Propulsion Executive Steering Committee (PESC), 2S COG (Cognizance Symbol), Marine Gas Turbine, Propulsion, Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)/Condition Assessment, Land Based Engineering Sites (LBES), Electric Drive Test Facility (EDTF), Energy Programs, Compatibility Test Facility (CTF), Electric Ships Office, Science & Technology (S&T), Research & Development (R&D), and Hybrid Electric Drive (HED).
With these new contract awards, The GBS Group has not only expanded its footprint within NSWCPD but also added to its wide range of technologies and will continue to look for new growth areas within the Navy. Throughout NSWCPD, we have expanded our personnel to over 40 employees supporting Codes 427, 511, 512, 514, 515, 516, 519, 522, 523, 524, and 531.
