Juan Hurtado

Juan Hurtado, is a recognized expert in Computer Engineering and Embedded System solutions for the rail and transportation industry. He has 20+ years technical experience in the areas of computer systems engineering, software application development, performance/validation testing, technical support, methodology development and troubleshooting. Throughout his progressive career, Juan has developed vast expertise of industry products and protocols, while working with various aspects of testing equipment, networks, servers, software, hardware, and peripherals. His background also encompasses oversight and strategic direction of critical high-end development and project management initiatives, developing strong, value-added solutions for mission-critical operations. Prior to GBS, Juan has held roles at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC) as Business Development for Technical Sales Solutions, Siemens Mobility Solutions as Engineering Support Manager, and Alstom Transportation as Senior Systems Engineering Manager. In his current role as the Applications Engineering Manager for the Rail and Transportation Division, he is responsibility for IoT projects, Health Monitoring software, and business development. Juan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
