Kurt Jarchow, PE

Kurt Jarchow, PE, is a recognized expert in shipboard mechanical systems across the commercial and government maritime industry. He has over 35 years of Mechanical Engineering experience on a variety of U.S. Navy and commercial ship platforms and shipboard systems. Kurt’s is frequently requested by name to solve the most challenging shipboard problems. He provides onsite technical assistance to crew members and repair activities during troubleshooting and overhaul and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment. He also has designed system upgrades, wrote detailed technical documents and maintenance procedures, and reviewed and approved technical drawings and operating procedures. Kurt retired from civil service in 2016 as a Supervisory Engineer for the Gas Turbines and Controls Branch for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Repair Center located in Norfolk, VA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
