Michelle DeArmond

Director, Contracts Administration

Michelle is a Contracts, Subcontracts and Financial Manager with over 20 years of experience in cradle to grave Government contracts, including financial contract management and Project Controls. Michelle was instrumental in standing up the project controls functionality within the company and has nurtured the project controls team to become an indispensable component of a smoothly running corporate team. Currently, Michelle serves as the Director of Contract Administration at The GBS Group and leads all contracts and subcontracts functions from cradle to grave as well as overseeing all pre-proposal and proposal bid pricing, cost estimating and final submittals.

Michelle began her career and spent 14 years at Oceaneering International, Inc. spending time in Accounting, Financial Project Management, and Government and Commercial Contracts. She finished her time there as a Division Controller. Prior to joining GBS, Michelle held the role of Pricing Manager at ADS, Inc. Her time at Oceaneering and ADS gave Michelle the experience in providing leadership to Accounting, Contracts and Financial Project Control Professionals and in developing effective contract, subcontract and financial risk analysis, as well as mitigation strategies for proposal efforts and awarded contracts across various business units. Michelle was instrumental in obtaining and maintaining DCAA approval of the ADS Accounting System which included developing, implementing and maintaining the Indirect Rate Structure, Project structure within the General Ledger of the Oracle Accounting System, Disclosure Statement, and accounting policies and procedures.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a Minor in Marketing from Misericordia University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
