Sandra Besora
Controller
Sandra brings to GBS almost 30 years of finance and accounting experience in the government cost accounting arena having served as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Finance Planning Manager, Vice President of Finance & Accounting, and Controller for several companies in Hampton Roads before joining GBS as our Corporate Controller in 2018. Sandra has decades of experience leading teams through complex financial reviews and overseeing multimillion dollar expenditures while simultaneously concentrating her expertise in the Department of Defense regulations.
As Corporate Controller for GBS, Sandra oversees all accounting functions, corporate financials, interfaces with external auditors and financial institutions and ensures optimal day to day performance of the accounting team in conjunction with our Project Controls team.
Born and raised in Argentina, she attended CIMA Institute where she received her accounting degree. After her relocation to the US, Sandra continued her studies and built upon her accounting skills, successfully adapting to the complex U.S. government contractor accounting systems and methodologies.
