NSWCPD 50 MAC Contract Award for GBS Federal Division, Naval Support

On 27 April 2021, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Detachment (NSWCPD) Code 50 awarded a Multiple Award IDIQ Contract to The GBS Group. The $48.7M contract enables The GBS Group to support the US Navy across Machinery Controls, Navigation, Casualty Control, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Network Systems on all US Navy Surface Combatant, Amphibious, and Aircraft Carrier ships.  

This contract vehicle will be utilized to help ensure fleet readiness and operational safety criteria are met. The work to be performed includes all activities associated with various control systems, computer program development, testing, equipment harvesting and installation on both in-service and new-ship-construction. Tasks will include performing systems engineering analysis in order to interface control systems with other new or modified shipboard systems; troubleshooting control system hardware issues at the Land Based Engineering Site/Test Facilities in Philadelphia, PA as well as sustainment and fleet modernization efforts around the world; upgrading the oil and gas security features of the existing and future control systems and information systems variants; and addressing obsolete hardware with the most cost effective solutions possible. 

The GBS Group is honored to continue supporting the Navy on control systems and equipment and with this contract they will be able to expand their efforts enabling the US Navy to meet future goals related to Cyber Security and Navy dominance around the world.
