Automated Passenger Counting is an advanced system that allows you to easily record all boardings and alightings, without involvement from the vehicle operator.
The core component of the Automated Passenger Counter is a HELLA 3-D stereo camera providing integrated image processing and analysis functions. It should be installed above the entry/exit door inside the Transit vehicle and will precisely count passengers on and off the vehicle. For public transport applications, only one sensor per vehicle door is required. This makes it easy to integrate into any vehicle.
