The GBS Group was awarded a contract supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Detachment (NSWCPD) Codes 544, 545, and 546.
On 21 January 2026, NSWCPD awarded The GBS Group a $50.1M contract over 5 years to support Codes 544, 545, and 546 covering engineering, technical, programmatic, logistics, maintenance, and systems support for Steam, Auxiliary and Machinery Controls Automation.
This support includes Foreign Military Sales (FMS) platforms, U.S. Navy ships and vessels, U.S. Coast Guard ships, Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships, and land based test sites. It encompasses life cycle management of ship hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) equipment, Land Based Test Sites and platforms, as well as test and evaluation (T & E) and in-service engineering support. These systems are heavily involved in significant Fleet Maintenance & Modernization initiatives and Alteration Installation Team facilitation. NSWCPD cognizant systems include but are not limited to: Propulsion Control Systems and Test Devices, Auxiliary Steam Machinery Control Systems, Shaft Speed Indicating Systems, Catapult Control Systems (including Supervisory Control Circuits), and Main Feed Pump Control Systems.
With this new contract award, The GBS Group has not only expanded its footprint within NSWCPD but also added to its wide range of technologies and will continue to look for new growth areas within the Navy.
